Ive been an OS X user for about 5 years, and only struggled with one issue since the beginning - HOW to find a file Ive lost track of. Not anymore - Find Any File is THE ANSWER. $7.99 is nothing compared to the time Ive saved just in the first month alone. Outstanding - thank you.

Worth every penny. Does exactly what it says. Simple, powerful, and easy to use. I should have bought this program years ago.

I have a network w three macs - all with i7’s & 16 gig RAM about 30 Terabytes networked drives. FIND ANY FILE found-0 files when including net drives COMPARED TO EasyFind Ran both FIND ANY FILE and EasyFind with same search - Easyfind came back with accurate hits FIND ANY FILE found nothing.

Ive been using this app since Tom first introduced it. It is without equal and has far exceeded my most demanding expectations. I highly recommend it. Steven Bomba running v1.8.9 in OSx 10.11.5

Makes finding a file so much easier than spotlight. For example - I can open FAF and enter first line as “find a file that contains ____ in the name”. Then add a second line that says that same file must also end in ".zip” and click FIND. Boom. Found a file that I didn’t know the exact name or where it was stored in seconds.

The easiest way to find files, especially ones hidden in system directories. I’d gladly pay twice the price for this.

I’ve used a number of file search utilities over time and have found Find Any File to be the best for me especially when I can only recall a portion of the file name. Although I still periodically use the shell (unix) ‘find’ command I now mostly use Find Any File because it appears to search the entire file system quickly and its ease of use. For example, when mail.app lost my VIP list, it was easy to find where the VIP list was stored since I knew the file name contained ‘vip’ and ended with ‘plist’ - by using two name search parameters - first, ‘contains=vip’ and the second ‘ends in=plist’ it was easy to find current file (which did NOT have my VIPs in it) and a backup of a previous version of the file (which did have my VIPs in it). It was then a simple matter of quiting mail.app, copying the backup to the current location, restarting mail.app and my VIP list was back. Find Any File made this hugely easier (and faster) than trying to find the proper files by manually searching.

Works as advertised, nice interface. The right way to port a *nix command to Mac GUI.

Find Any File is a very fast and efficient application. The UI is very light and provides the critical search criteria. I have found this app to be a very valuable tool to have on my Mac

For the longest time I was having to use the command shell to find so many different files. This does all of that through a GUI.

I absolutely hate spotlight and finder on Mac’s. This is my favorite tool.

I have been using this app for several years. Easiest way to find files when I need to and can’t. Or good way to clean up my disk. I lterally can’t imagine being without it. I use it at least 3 times a week for all kinds of different reasons. indispensable and reliable.

WAY better than spotlight search, I use this app constantly. It’s very fast and will find what you’re looking for if it’s on the drive, guaranteed. It will also give the complete path and let you reveal the file in Finder, both of which are very important for me.

I did a root search of all disks—which goes beyond connected hard drives (warning: it looks at EVERYTHING you have permissions to, system files too), • Fast. It’s much faster than the Finder to build a search, and it’s much faster to run a search. • Excellent Support. I don’t give good ratings to apps with anything less than stellar support. • Low Price. If you need to do more comprehensive file management faster than FAF, you’re going to have to either use UNIX command line utilities or pay a lot more. Find Any File earns five stars.
